What angle sizes are typically used?

L63×63×6, L75×75×8 and L100×100×10 mm are common quotation starting points. Final section, support seat, anchors and any intermediate members are selected from the clear opening, load footprint and governing design basis.

Are frames supplied as separate items?

Yes — frames can be ordered separately or as part of a complete trench cover package including grating covers, anchors and locking devices.

What about mid-span cross members?

Cross-member need, section and spacing are determined by the cover span, load-transfer path and frame calculation; they are not assigned from trench width alone.

Frames recessed into concrete trench walls. Minimum 25 mm bearing surface for grating covers
Cross-members at 600–800 mm centres for trench widths above 600 mm
Hot-dip galvanized to ASTM A123 / EN ISO 1461. Stainless steel 304/316L for corrosive environments
Anchor bolt holes pre-drilled or slotted. J-bolts, L-bolts or wedge anchors supplied per project
State the pedestrian or vehicle load, contact footprint, traffic condition and governing standard; EN 124 class applies only to a qualifying complete assembly
Custom frame dimensions, corner mitre joints and level-adjustment details per your drawing
